Iron Mountain to Provide U.S. Law Schools and Federal Court Libraries with DVD of Mock Pre-Trial Conference that Focuses on the New Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Regarding Electronic Discovery
Mock pre-trial conference set before a federal judge depicts 'new world' of records management

BOSTON, MA and SAN ANTONIO, TX (ARMA Booth # 311 ) - October 22, 2006 - Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE:IRM), the global leader in information protection and storage services, today announced that it will provide a free DVD on managing electronic records to every law school and federal court library in the country. The DVD depicts a mock pre-trial conference before Judge Shira Scheindlin of the Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York and addresses many of the real world e-records management issues that will occur in courts across America pursuant to the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) scheduled to take effect December 1, 2006.

The plaintiff and defense counsel in the mock pre-trial conference both have a technical expert to assist them - dramatizing the "new world" of records management in litigation where attorneys find an increasing need for such expertise when issues are centered on e-records. The revised FRCP will require companies to produce relevant e-mails and attachments, instant messages, video files, and other e-records quickly and efficiently, or face significant sanctions, liability, and loss of credibility.

“Iron Mountain aims to provide thought leadership, education, and resources to help companies and the legal community understand the complex legislative changes regarding discovery and compliant records management,” said Brian Murphy, Iron Mountain's Senior Vice President of Consulting Services. “We are proud to finance this undertaking.”

Iron Mountain announced the news today at the 2006 ARMA International Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Judge Scheindlin, known in part for her expertise in e-discovery, is the opening keynote speaker on Monday, October 23, 2006. During 2003 and 2004, Judge Scheindlin issued five groundbreaking opinions in the case of Zubulake v. UBS Warburg, which is generally considered to be a landmark case on a wide range of electronic discovery issues.

The mock pre-trial conference video was produced by Cohasset Associates and The Sedona Conference®, and supported by Iron Mountain. Copies of the pre-trial conference DVD will be available for customers visiting Iron Mountain's booth #311 at the ARMA International's 51st Conference & Expo in San Antonio, Texas, October 22-25, 2006. Following the ARMA conference, copies of the DVD will be available at: www.merresource.com/dvd.htm.
